The Property

Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Leedstown, Cornwall

See more pictures of Drym Farm

Drym Farm offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in Cornwall, between St.Ives and Helston. A beautiful Cornish granite farmhouse house in a sunny and sheltered setting within a secluded valley. The house is surrounded by pretty gardens stocked with exotic plants, roses, camellias and ancient apple trees.
Although there has been a house on this site since at least 1128, the current house was built in the 18th century and, together with its barns and outbuildings, forms a fine example of domestic Cornish architecture. Drym itself is a tiny peaceful hamlet, spread along a typically Cornish deep flower-lined lane.

The B&B accommodation is on the first floor and consists of two double rooms, each with adjacent private bathroom, and one twin-bedded room (which can be used for families or friends travelling together).

The rooms are simple and stylish, with an emphasis on high quality linen and guest comfort (fine egyptian cotton sheets, thick fluffy white towels and spacious bathrooms!). All rooms offer lovely views of the gardens and countryside. Tea/coffee trays, colour TV, clock radio, toiletries, wine glasses and a corkscrew are provided.

Guests enjoy breakfasts with a wide choice of mainly organic and free-range produce, from local suppliers wherever possible. The guest sitting room has a woodburning stove and is furnished with comfortable chairs and sofas, plus a wide selection of books and guides to Cornwall.

About Your Hosts

Jan is a very good hostess with a real enthusiasm for both Drym Farm and Cornwall, and she is happy to share her local knowledge. In between looking after her guests, she is restoring the barns, creating new garden areas and working for the Cornwall Gardens Trust. She has a media and TV background, with interests that include the arts, buildings, gardens, sustainability, and walking.

Out and About

Close to Drym Farm are wonderful beaches, hills and valleys for walking or cycling. The art galleries and restaurants of St Ives, Penzance, Marazion (St Michael’s Mount), Porthleven and Helston are within 10 miles radius. Only a little further is the Lizard Peninsula or the far west of Cornwall leading to Land’s End.
Within one hour’s drive, you can reach places as varied as the major water sports and surfing beaches around Newquay, the quiet creeks of the Helford River, heritage homes and churches, the Minack Theatre, the spectacular valley gardens of Trebah and Heligan and, of course, the world famous Eden Project.

Your hosts are more than happy to pre-book dinner at one of Cornwall´s many Great Places to Eat or arrange tickets to visit the Minack Theatre or Eden Project
