The Property

Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Praze, Cornwall

Although there has been a house on the site since around 1128, the current farmhouse and outbuildings were built later on in the 18th Century. It is said that the property was constructed for the mistress of a local aristocrat.

This charming granite farmhouse offers luxury B&B accommodation in Cornwall, in a tranquil location between St Ives and Helston.

Inside

  • Style: Simple and stylish with an emphasis on quality and comfort: fine Egyptian linen, fluffy white towels and spacious rooms looking out onto the gardens and countryside.
  • Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Two double rooms, each with a private bathroom adjacent. An extra twin room can be used for families and friends travelling together.

Nestled in a sunny, sheltered valley location, the house is surrounded by pretty gardens blooming with exotic plants, roses, camellias and ancient apple trees.

  • On the map: In the tiny Cornish hamlet of Drym, close to Praze-an-Beeble - a village between St Ives Bay to the north and Helston to the south.
  • By car: About 4.5 hours from London
  • By train: The closest train station is Camborne, about 3 miles from the property
  • By air: The nearest airport is Newquay, about 30 miles away. Helicopters can land at Penzance Heliport, a bout 10 miles away.

About Your Hosts

Jan is a great hostess, always happy to share her enthusiasm and local knowledge of Cornwall. When not looking after guests she is busy restoring the barns, creating new garden areas and working for the Cornwall Gardens Trust. Jan's background is in media and TV, and her interests include the arts, architecture, gardens, sustainability, and walking.

Out and About

  • Pad along the 3 miles of pearly sands of St Ives Bay to the north, or explore the Lizard Peninsula and beautiful beaches to the south.
  • Cycle along the old mineral trails or explore the valleys and hills on foot.
  • Visit art galleries in the waterside towns of St Ives, Newlyn, Porthleven and Penzance.
  • Cross the tidal walkway to St Michael's Mount at Marazion.
  • Many more of Cornwall's attractions are accessible within an hour's drive, including The Eden Project, The Minack Theatre, Maritime Falmouth, the Helford River and Heligan gardens.
